Sky Care provides both
emergency scene and interfacility medical and trauma flight services.
Our helicopter is staffed with a flight nurse and a flight paramedic.
This staffing allows us to provide comprehensive medical services.
Sky Care's primary response
area encompasses a 60 mile radius from our current base at the Anderson
Regional Airport in Anderson, SC. This 60 mile primary response area
provides beneficial air medical transportation to Upstate South Carolina,
Northeast Georgia, and Western North Carolina.
Sky Care can be requested by
any Public Safety personnel for scene responses.

Scene Flight
Capabilities:
Sky Care has the ability to
respond to scene locations with an average lift off time of less than 5
minutes from time of notification. With an average response speed of
~100 knots (115 mph), Sky Care has the ability to be on scene 60 miles away
in only 36 minutes.
After arriving on scene, our
specially training medical crew works with the responders already on scene
to rapidly assess patient condition, provide patient stabilization and load
the patient into the aircraft for transport to the most appropriate
destination.
Once the patient is loaded,
the medical crew has the ability to provide the most beneficial care during
transport to the most appropriate destination. In addition, Sky Care
has the ability to transport non-traumatic adult and pediatric burn patients
to a burn center without transporting to another hospital first.

Sky Care provides both
emergency and non-emergency interfacility medical and trauma flight
services. Sky Care can transport adult and pediatric patients from
tertiary care facilities to primary hospitals, burn centers or trauma
centers as well as to other specialty hospitals and facilities for a variety
of patient conditions.

Flight Capabilities:
Sky Care has the ability to
transport patients to the facility of choice within a 300 mile radius of our
current base at the Anderson Regional Airport. This includes
facilities in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama,
and Kentucky.
Sky Care's medical personnel
has the ability to perform advanced life support in addition to many
advanced monitoring capabilities. |
